VIDEO DESIGN

These are some examples of the 33 fully-animated turnkey video games branded for each park (3 different outcomes per video concept), created to update and replace their current library. Although these are passive games (not fully interactive), they elicit active audience engagement and distract from queue wait times.

Working with Cedar Fair’s internal creative director, Matt concepted, designed, animated, added sound design, edited and rendered the videos to spec.

Deliverables included: storyboards, look development, original design and asset creation, several rounds of animation iterations, and the final videos.

Storyboards

Matt developed full scripts and storyboards detailing the visual narrative for each of the original 11 design themes. This included titles, general movements, and end results for each of the games.

Asset Design

He created original 3D models and other designs with a mixture of stock elements to create a unique animated layout for each theme.

Sound Design

Matt also sourced music tracks and sound effects unique to each design theme, then cut them to spec.

Title Design

A few examples of the title screens created for each design theme.

Several rounds of revisions were developed reflect the style of each of the video’s content and park placement.
